The Active Church was birthed in 2004 in our home when God called us very specifically to reach a nation by reaching the forgotten. The calling was affirmed and we went from helping churches build youth groups to starting a church that was youth oriented. We have had the privilege since the birth of this vision of seeing the youth grow into adults who have overcome the challenges of their youth and situations and are now married with children of their own who are planted and flourishing in their lives. The upliftment of lives has always made us so grateful for the calling.

When we recorded our very first worship album in 2008, we invited many people - and a friend came with her family from a very wealthy area. As she watched the passion, excitement and worship of people, many who were at that stage in very down-and-out areas and poverty stricken, she said words we will never forget: “You are ministering to those that most churches have forgotten!” That has always been our aim, to reach and love the lost - all the lost - rich and poor - and get them to Jesus their Saviour - where they will be found in His love!! We pray daily that we, as a family, will know God’s will and do His will, accurately fulfilling the work He has given us to do!
